Rielly out minimum of eight weeks with fractured foot

The Maple Leafs announced Monday that defenceman Morgan Rielly underwent a CT scan this afternoon after sustaining an injury January 12 in the team’s game against Florida, and will be out a minimum of eight weeks with a fractured foot. Rielly will be placed on injured reserve and will be reassessed after eight weeks by the Maple Leafs medical staff.

Rielly, 25, has recorded 27 points (three goals, 24 assists) in 46 games with the Maple Leafs this season. The Vancouver, BC native has registered 270 points (54 goals, 216 assists) in 516 regular season games and 15 points (two goals, 13 assists) in 20 playoffs games.
