Timashov’s Quebec Remparts narrowly trail Shawinigian, the preseason favorites in the East, although the Cataractes have two games in hand.

The 19-year-old Timashov, with his October 1st birthdate, is considered by many to be bound for the AHL next season; while he’s in his plus-one season, he is effectively an overager in that sense.
