HALIFAX – The magical post-season run of the Guelph Storm came to a halt on Friday night at the hands of the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies. Guelph dropped a 6-4 decision in the Memorial Cup semi-final game, setting up a rematch of the QMJHL final for Sunday’s championship matchup between the Huskies and the host Halifax Mooseheads.
Philadelphia Flyers prospect Isaac Ratcliffe scored a pair of goals for Guelph. The game was deadlocked at 3-3 heading into the final period before Rouyn-Noranda forward Felix Bibeau stunned the Storm with a pair of goals.
With Storm goalie Anthony Popovich on the bench for a sixth skater late in regulation, Ratcliffe finished a tic-tac-toe scoring play involving teammates Mackenzie Entwistle (Chicago) and Nick Suzuki (Montreal).
