Petter Granberg will never be confused with Lidstrom, Karlsson or even Enstrom. Petter Granberg will most likely never score more than 20 points, but he won’t need too. What Petter will give, is safety. Safe play in his own end, safe play in the neutral zone and safe play in the opposition’s end.
That might not sound too exciting, but the Leafs have lacked a defensive player who can consistently making the smart and safe play off the boards or out of the zone.
