Guessing that the St. Louis Blues brought up William Nylander‘s name in trade talk involving Alex Pietrangelo. The Leafs obviously decided to keep him as he’s six years younger and Pietrangelo would need an extension after next season. The Leafs may be looking for someone with more term, but it doesn’t mean they wouldn’t re-visit Pietrangelo.
Pietrangelo’s name is out there, so it shows that it might be something the Blues would consider.
