Nothing concrete, but it sounds like TOR is preparing to officially sign Brad Boyes.

Helping Boyes’ cause was the fact that he is a right-shot competing on a thinner right side of the Maple Leafs depth chart. Last night, Boyes looked good on a line with Holland at center and Matthias on the left, while the now-released Curtis Glencross played on the left side of Byron Froese and Kasperi Kapanen — behind van Riemsdyk, Matthias, and Komarov. And that’s without Daniel Winnik and Joffrey Lupul (whether he plays left or right side isn’t clear yet, but he’s always played best on the left) in the lineup.
