Tonight, as the Maple Leafs are due to embark on the arduous journey into the Hub by tomorrow’s deadline, they have 30 players, one short of the limit, on their official roster.
Kyle Dubas had told the media at the start of training camp, that he was considering a roster of 28 or 29, but they’ve loaded up with four goalies, all the extra defenders you could want, including Timothy Liljegren. Liljegren was “unable to play” for most of training camp, but apparently that injury was not serious.
Sheldon Keefe said going-to-the-bubble day will involve all #Leafs coming in for a final COVID test tomorrow morning, heading back home, and then returning to the rink to bus in to their hotel together late in the evening

Cut from the team are Egor Korshkov, Adam Brooks, and Kenny Agostino, who came up from the USA and underwent 14-days of isolation prior to camp.
