Maple Leafs acquire Jeremy Morin from Chicago

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Sunday that the hockey club has acquired forward Jeremy Morin from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for Richard Panik. Morin will join the American Hockey League’s Toronto Marlies.

Morin, 24, has skated in 82 career NHL games with the Chicago Blackhawks and Columbus Blue Jackets, registering 22 points (10 goals, 12 assists) and 69 penalty minutes. During the 2015-16 campaign, the Auburn, New York native has appeared in 28 regular season games with the Rockford IceHogs (AHL affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks) collecting 22 points (nine goals, 13 assists) and 24 penalty minutes.
