The Leafs were all aces Thursday evening with a6-3 victory over Las Vegas.
The highlight for the Leafs came in a two-goal performance by Auston Matthews. The first was his 100th as a Leaf. He is the fourth-fastest player to reach the 100-goal mark in Toronto franchise history at 187 games (Babe Dye, 1923 – 86 GP, Reg Noble, 1922 – 112 GP, Charlie Conacher, 1933 – 162 GP).
Also scoring for the Leafs was Patrick Marleau, Andreas Johnsson, Mitch Marner, and Morgan Rielly. Freddie Andersen stopped 30 to earn the victory.
The Leafs next action comes Saturday night in Arizona.
