Sometimes a score doesn’t necessarily reflect the performance of it’s players. This was one of those games where Toronto actually didn’t play that bad against Dallas, but came out of it on the short of a 2-1 loss.
Patrick Marleau had the lone Leafs goal. It came from a third period power-play goal. Assists went to John Tavares and Morgan Rielly. Freddie Andersen stopped 16 of the 18 shots fired at him.
Toronto actually only had three shots against them in the third. They just failed to find the net themselves.
