Leafs head into All-Star break with dominant win

The slump for Nazem Kadri appears to be over.

After going 20 games with just a single goal – that was deflected off his skate – Kadri has found the net in back-to-back games. The Leafs forward scored twice on Thursday nights in Toronto’s 4-1 win in Dallas.

The outing was dominated by the Leafs from start to finish as Mike Babcock’s squad played the perennial ‘perfect road game’. Curtis McElhinney was sensational in net, making 39 saves in his first appearance in five weeks.

“I thought (McElhinney) was solid,” coach Mike Babcock said to reporters after the game.
