Like no one at all predicted, Seth Griffith has been claimed off of waivers by the Toronto Maple Leafs. Griffith was formerly with the Boston Bruins organization, and in waiving him, they were fulfilling their destiny to throw away prospects for nothing or next to nothing or at least another good player they will throw away eventually.
Griffith is a right-shooting right wing of 23, and he tore up the AHL last year. He finished second in scoring with 24 goals and 53 assists, making 77 points in only 57 games.
He would be perfect on the Marlies, who have a grand total of one right-shooting winger.
