Leafs add assistant coaches Jim Hiller, Andrew Brewer, strength and conditioning coach Matthew J. Herring

The Leafs have added two new members to their coaching staff beyond the previously reported hirings of assistant coaches D.J. Smith, who will reportedly manage the defense, and Jim Hiller, who will reportedly manage the powerplay.

The team has hired Andrew Brewer to join Mike Babcock's staff as an assistant coach. Last season, he served in that role with Babcock and the Detroit Red Wings.

Brewer, 29, had served as Hockey Canada's video coach prior to joining the Red Wings. In that capacity, he worked the Sochi Olympics as well as the 2012, 2013 and 2014 World Championships.
