Goaltender Ian Scott was drafted 110th overall by the Leafs in the 2017 draft. He is just 19 this year, but has completed his third year in the WHL for the Prince Albert Raiders.
At his age, and with only three years in, he is eligible and likely to return for a fourth year in junior. But having Scott on hand now gives the team a chance to see how he’s progressed since the summer. Scott attended the Leafs development camp this summer and the rookie tournament that led into training camp.
After a fairly good season in Prince Albert, Scott helped his 8th seeded team take the top-ranked Moose Jaw Warriors to 7 games in the first round before losing by one goal in the final game.
