The 2018 men’s Olympic hockey quarterfinals are over, and one huge upset opens up the road ahead for Canada.
Last night, the USA lost to the Czechs in a shootout, and then the Russians did the expected and destroyed Norway 6-1. That sets up one semifinal.
The other semifinal will feature Canada, who won a nail-biter over Finland, versus the winner of the biggest hockey upset at this Olympics.
Canada, who lost Ben Scrivens in the second period when he was bowled over by a Finn who had been knocked into him, carried a one-goal lead through to the end of the game against a Finnish team that just never seemed to control the puck.
