Hayley Wickenheiser is officially going to be a member of the CWHL this upcoming season. The news was broke by the CWHL earlier today. The four-time Olympic gold medallist has indicated her intention is to play for the Calgary Inferno next season.
What can be said about her that hasn't been already?
Probably the best female hockey player to ever play the game, Wickenheiser has earned the Olympic gold medal five times with Team Canada, as well as countless World and Four Nations Championships, she embodies all that hockey is in this country.
"Getting a player like Wick(enheiser) is huge; for us it's like Bobby Hull joining the WHA, or Wayne Gretzky being traded to LA.
