The Leafs announced today that the hockey club has loaned forward Frederik Gauthier to the Toronto Marlies (AHL), while forward Nikita Soshnikov has been recalled from the Marlies.
Gauthier, 22, was recalled by the Maple Leafs from the Marlies on November 7, but did not skate in any games for the NHL club. He has collected two assists in eight games with the Marlies this season. In 2016-17, he split his season between the Maple Leafs and Marlies, recording two goals and one assist in 21 games with the Maple Leafs, while registering four goals and nine assists in 46 regular season games with the Marlies.
