Gardiner, who has represented the United States at the 2013-14 World Championships and the 2010 World Junior Championships, was one of six defencemen named to the roster. In eight games at last year's Worlds, Gardiner recorded a goal and four points for the USA who finished sixth at the tournament.
Team USA will compete from May 1-17 in the tournament which will be held in both Prague and Ostrava, Czech Republic.
