The two teams exchanged goals early in both of the first two periods, but that was it, as the third and overtime were scoreless, with the Leafs taking the extra point in the shoot-out as Bernier bounced back strongly from the Islanders game.
The two teams were close in possession numbers for much of the game, although the Penguins did open up a late advantage in the final few minutes of regulation and overtime.
