Les Canadiennes de Montréal announced today that they would complete the 2014 Jordanna Peroff trade by sending third-string goalie Amanda Makela to the Toronto Furies.
Makela was an eighth-round draft pick for Montréal in the 2016 CWHL Draft and did not play any games with them last season. She played six games for the Buffalo Beauts in the inaugural season of the NWHL, where she put up a save percentage of .909 and had a goals against average of 2.79.
A native of Thunder Bay, Makela played her college years with Mercyhurst, where she was the starter for her final two years.
