The Toronto Maple Leafs have a handful of prospects at the Karjala Cup prospect tournament in Finland. Rodion Amirov is the most notable of them and he scored a brilliant goal for Russia in their eventual 6-2 win. He also blew past fellow Leafs prospect Axel Rindell, who was playing for Finland, on a backcheck.
The Leafs have another Russian prospect, Dmitri Ovchinnikov (#97) playing in the MHL (Russian Jr.) and he scored the overtime winner for his team yesterday morning.
