You guys remember Keaton Middleton? Fourth round pick in 2016, big guy, immediate write-off by all of us? Well, he made his NHL debut last night for the Colorado Avalanche.
Signed to an ELC earlier this month, Middleton, 23, played his first game for the Avalanche wearing number #67 in their 2-0 win over the Anaheim Ducks. He was a late addition after Jacob MacDonald got suspended and Bowen Byram was placed under COVID protocols and was the 14th defenseman to play games for the Avs this season. In those 10 minutes, he took a penalty and was below 40% in shots and xG.
