The Toronto Maple Leafs are floating Jared Cowen out on the wire hoping some team will take an interest in Cowen as a depth defenceman at no trade cost. Barring that highly unlikely event, he has remained with the Maple Leafs rather than joining the Toronto Marlies, according to Paul Hendrick.
PA Parenteau took a hit from Jordan Staal at the very end of the game last night that sent him into the boards awkwardly and had Maple Leafs management holding their collective breath, no doubt. It appears he’s dealing with some soreness from that incident, which doesn’t sound like it should be a long-term thing.
