Having completed his second pre-season game, the forward has shown an impressive amount of skill and a good net presence. With the staff looking for skilled players who can earn a spot, if he continues to produce offensively, it may be hard to make the decision to send him back to the Marlies. Earlier in the day, Maple Leafs head coach Mike Babcock stated that top-six forwards are going to have to win top-six jobs. Easier said than done.
