After an embarrassing defeat to Yunost Minsk in the first game of the Champions Hockey League round of 32 (a two-game home and home series), Frölunda decisively took the second game 5-0 on Tuesday and moved on to the round of 16 where they will face Eisbären Berlin, another team they should easily beat. The round of 16 games are played in early November.
Grundström had one assist in the game and three shots on goal, and the easy success was exactly what he and the team needed to gain some confidence.
In regular SHL action, the team is still without some of their key personnel, and Grundström was slated to take the second line spot he had done well at in the CHL for Thursday’s game against Rögle.
