The 2017/18 season was a good one for the Toronto Maple Leafs. It saw young players like Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews shine, finishing first and second in points for the team. It also had a lot of new faces in Patrick Marleau and Tomas Plekanec being acquired at different points throughout the year.
Also, Travis Dermott and Andreas Johnsson who were called up and proved to be valuable for the team going into playoffs. The team proved to be a force to be reckoned with, finishing third in the Atlantic division with 105 points, the most the team has ever had.
