He’s ready for the Toronto Maple Leafs — I’m just not sure if they’re ready for him, yet.
Liljegren is having a career season with the Toronto Marlies. He’s 6th in AHL defenseman scoring with 29 points in 37 games, which is three quarters of the way to averaging a point per game.
He’s fourth in Marlies scoring only behind Pontus Aberg, the leading scorer, by six points. This weekend, the 22-year-old added to his point total scoring a goal and adding two assists in two games.
And since being sent down after being up with the Toronto Maple Leafs — Liljegren has five points in his last four games.
