Leafs prospect Jeremy Bracco put forth an outstanding effort in the Memorial Cup championship game, registering a goal and two assists to help lead the host Windsor Spitfires to a 4-3 win over the Erie Otters.
Bracco was sensational from the opening faceoff, foreshadowing his strong outing by ringing a shot off the goal post early in the first period. He got the game’s first goal moments later, pouncing on a loose puck and converting on a power play.
The back-and-forth nail-biting affair was knotted 3-3 in the third period when Bracco raced nearly end-to-end – gaining the zone on the right wing – and feeding Aaron Luchuk on a two-on-one for the game-winning goal.
