The Toronto Maple Leafs are having a crazy summer.
First, the they fired their long-time GM. Then they hired Shane Doan to be the assistant GM. After that, the Toronto Maple Leafs went dormant for a while before re-emerging and signing David Kampf and Pontus Holmberg.
Shortly after that, it was free-agency and the exodus of almost half the team (Ryan O’Reilly, Noel Acciari, Alex Kerfoot, Michael Bunting, Luke Schenn, and more).
They signed Ryan Reaves, Tyler Bertuzzi, John Klingberg, and Max Domi, and the roster is still short a few pieces.
But rewind it a bit:
After another solid regular season, the Toronto Maple Leafs found themselves making the second round in the playoffs before bowing out in just 5 games against the Florida Panthers.
