2016 Memorial Cup recap: Host Rebels win big against the Huskies

The host Red Deer Rebels scored five unanswered goals to win their first game of the tournament.

Every team plays back to backs in this tournament, and it's up to the fresh team to take advantage of that.

The host Red Deer Rebels were that team tonight, and they made the most of it. Not at first, however.

The Rebels were put at a disadvantage quickly when Nelson Nogier ('14 WPG) took two for cross checking three and a half minutes into the game. Timo Meier ('15 SJ), hero of RNH's win over Brandon, would score one minute into the power play to put the Huskies in the lead.
