Yeferson Soteldo suffers Grade 2 muscle injury to left thigh

TORONTO, Canada—While Toronto FC are expected to get one of their stars back Saturday vs. Columbus Crew in Alejandro Pozuelo, it appears that another one has gone down injured.

Newly-acquired designated player Yeferson Soteldo has suffered a Grade 2 muscle injury to his left thigh according to the Venezuelan Soccer Federation.

The extent of the injury is unknown, but according to the press release, he has not been ruled out for Venezuela’s upcoming Copa America matches on June 14 and June 18 and his status will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis.
