A makeshift New York City FC side was able to pull out a 1-1 draw with Toronto FC at BMO Field today. The sold out match saw Toronto FC in the driver's seat for most of the match. But after conceding early, they were only able to find the back of the net once in reply.
New York City started the match without David Villa or Andrea Pirlo in the lineup, but an early goal from Kwadwo Poku earned them a point. Will Johnson replied for Toronto FC off of a well-worked attack in the first half.
