Moments of this magnitude have been far too few and far between for Toronto FC in its ten-year history. However, tonight the club can celebrate a big accomplishment: its fifth Voyageurs Cup, courtesy of a late moment of brilliance for Will Johnson.
The Vancouver Whitecaps were as close to the brink as humanly possible of winning their second straight Voyageurs Cup. At BC Place they led 2-1 on aggregate and 2-0 in the match after a second half surge.
With the 90 minutes and all four minutes of stoppage time having already been played, Toronto FC sent one last hopeful ball forward.
