TORONTO, Canada—Kemar Lawrence could make his debut for Toronto FC Wednesday night against Columbus SC, as Chris Armas informed media on Tuesday that the Jamaican international would be eligible for selection after officially signing with the club from Belgian side R.S.C. Anderlecht on May 7.
Lawrence also introduced himself to media and the fanbase on Tuesday, taking questions from those on the TFC beat.
The 28-year-old left-back has played under Armas in the past with the New York Red Bulls, and went into depth about why he believes in the coach’s vision, among many other topics—including why he chose to sign with Toronto FC.
