The club has learned its schedule for the upcoming season, including what help it will get from the league regarding international breaks.
Last year Toronto FC started their season with seven games on the road, this year as part of the second phase of renovations to BMO Field they are going one better. Toronto will open the season with eight games on the road, culminating with a match in Portland against the MLS Cup defending champions Portland Timbers.
During that time they will kick off the season with a trip to New York, playing the Supporter's Shield winning New York Red Bulls and New York City FC in both club's home openers on March 6 and 13.
