A familiar name, or last name, at least, will lead Toronto FC into its next era.
Bob Bradley, father of longtime Reds captain Michael Bradley, was officially announced as TFC’s new head coach and sporting director on Wednesday.
The 63-year-old becomes the 12th head coach in Reds history, a day after the club announced Javier Perez would not return next year.
Bradley’s appointment had been rumoured for some time, with Toronto looking to revamp its team after finishing with the second fewest points in Major League Soccer this season. That speculation was fuelled earlier this month when Bradley mutually parted ways with Los Angeles FC, where he was the head coach from 2017, after his contract ended.
