Toronto FC Come From Behind for Tie with New York City FC

Sebastian Giovinco scores late to give the team a big point against New York.

Toronto FC failed to sweep New York, but were still able to grab a point today at Yankee stadium. After going down 2-0 early they would come from behind to earn a 2-2 draw. The club now have a record of 1 win and 1 draw to start the 2016 season.

David Villa had a pair of goals, one from the penalty spot, to give New York City an early two goal lead. Toronto, however, would would fight back as Damien Perquis scored just before halftime, and Sebastian Giovinco would tie the game late.
