Victor Vazquez, the long-awaited creative midfielder that helped Toronto FC to its first MLS Cup win, is moving on to a club in Qatar.
The Reds announced the move Tuesday, a day after the team arrived at BMO Training Ground to begin preseason. Toronto declined to name the club in Qatar until the deal was made official. Terms have been agreed to between player and club but the transfer, which will see TFC receive money in return, hinges on the 31-year-old midfielder passing a physical.
