Toronto FC’s squad continued to grow on Tuesday, this time with the addition of veteran Major League Soccer defender Jason Hernandez.
The signing reunites the 33-year-old defender, who enters his thirteenth year in the league with his fifth MLS club, with former San Jose Earthquakes teammates Justin Morrow and Steven Beitashour. The three defenders helped the Californian side to a Supporters Shield win in 2012.
Hernandez will be added to the Reds; roster pending receipt of his International Transfer Certificate. He earned $210,000 (U.S.) with New York City FC last year, according to MLS Players Union figures.
