After a summer spent clearing cap space, Toronto FC finally revealed the player they were making room for ahead of today’s transfer deadline. The club has acquired 23-year-old Argentine Forward Lucas Janson on loan from Superliga Argentina side Tigre.
The deal involves targeted allocation money, which Toronto FC freed up when they loaned Spanish midfielder Ager Aketxe to Cadiz earlier in the summer. The club made subsequent space by acquiring general allocation money from Chicago in exchange for Nicolas Hasler and from LAFC in a recent deal sending an international spot the other way.
