Toronto FC kept things Canadian with its selections at the 2022 MLS SuperDraft on Tuesday.
The Reds picked Hamilton native Luka Gavran, a goalkeeper out of St. John’s University in New York, with the 31st selection and added Reshaun Walkes, a Brampton-born forward who most recently starred at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, with the 59th selection.
Gavran and Walkes were two of six Canadians who had their names called in the three-round draft, which was held virtually for a second year. Nine Canadians had been eligible for selection.
