The road to the 2017 Gold Cup begins later this month when the Canadian men’s national team has their first camp of the year. The first step will be getting a look at the crop of North American based players in the system.
A 28-man squad has been called up for this camp, which will give interim coach Michael Findley a look at his larger player pool. The majority of the players called into camp play for one of Canada’s five top clubs.
The camp opens on January 12 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Canada will train there before flying down to Bermuda to take on their national team on January 22.
