It hasn't been Sebastian Giovinco's week. On Monday, the Italian forward learned that he had not been called up for the Italian side going to Euro 2018. Today, a leg injury forced him out of Toronto FC's match against the New York Red Bulls.
After just 22 minutes Giovinco was taken off of the pitch and replaced by Ashtone Morgan. Giovinco has played all but one minute this season for Toronto FC.
Giovinco appeared to be hobbled by a pass he played, and instantly looked in discomfort. After taking a couple of steps he would rip off the captain's armband, which he was wearing in Micheal Bradley's absence, in disgust.
