When the team travels to Los Angeles to play LAFC Saturday night, Toronto FC will still be without winger Nicolas Benezet, according to the Toronto Sun’s Steve Buffery.
The 28-year-old reportedly felt discomfort in his hip after departing early from Sunday’s match against the Colorado Rapids. He then missed Wednesday’s first-leg tie with the Montreal Impact — the Reds first loss in ten matches.
2016 first-round pick Tsubasa Endoh has stepped up in Benezet’s absence. With their lack of depth on the wing, Endoh’s emergence in the midst of a congested September has been a welcoming addition for the Reds.
