TORONTO, Canada—Toronto FC have reportedly made a concrete offer for French defender Loïck Landre, according french media outlet RMC Sport.
The 28-year-old former Paris Saint-Germain and Lens centreback has been with Ligue 1 side Nîmes Olympique for the past three seasons, making 13 appearances so far in 2020/21 for the last-place side.
Landre will apparently be out of contract at the end of the summer, allowing him to freely negotiate a new contract with other interested parties as of Jan. 1. His current transfer market value is $2.20m according to transfermarkt, but since he’s expected to be out of contract, any team that would sign him would likely avoid having to pay a transfer fee.
