Both Toronto FC and rival Montreal Impact are reported to have been in talks with the agent of Carpi forward Marco Borriello as the transfer window reaches its midway point. Don't expect anything to come of it for Toronto FC.
For the second straight January transfer window Toronto FC could be looking to the Serie A in order to shore up their attack. At this time last year the club brought in Juventus star Sebastian Giovinco with the hopes that he could fix the club's goalscoring woes.
A year later, it would be a search for attacking depth behind Giovinco and Jozy Altidore that reportedly has the club in talks with Carpi striker Marco Borriello.
