According to a report from Kevin Baxter of the L.A. Times, Toronto FC may be in the market for a new fullback as free agent Steven Beitashour is apparently close to a deal with the expansion side Los Angeles FC.
The 30-year-old defender’s contract ran out after the 2017 season, after he spent two years in Toronto. The Reds acquired him from the Vancouver Whitecaps in a trade in late 2015, and he’s been a stalwart on the right side for them pretty much ever since.
Beitashour was a fixture in the starting eleven down the homestretch of the 2017 season.
