Reds roll over Champions League champs in the rain

If anyone knows what a soccer game in Toronto in early April can be like, it’s Ashtone Morgan.

The Toronto FC defender is one of few hometown boys on the Reds’ squad. Whirling rain, cool temperatures and pool field conditions, like the ones at BMO Field on Tuesday night, should be no surprise.

A goal from the native of Toronto, on the other hand, is something of a shocker — he had just one in his eight-year career with the organization coming into the Reds’ CONCACAF Champions League semifinal opener against Club America, the tournament’s defending champion.
