On Sunday night, Toronto FC took on the New England Revolution in their 2019 MLS home opener.
After the pregame festivities, the Revolution quickly opened the scoring, as Carles Gil converted a penalty given up by Chris Mavinga just nine minutes in.
Toronto FC battled right back, as Ayo Akinola equalised with an impressive solo goal. He danced between a pair of defenders before curling a shot into the bottom right corner, making the score 1-1.
After a relatively quiet 30 minutes following Akinola's goal, Jordan Hamilton gave TFC their first lead of the night with an easy tap-in from close range.
