Forge FC missed a second chance to qualify for the 2021 Champions League in as many weeks on Tuesday night, falling 1-0 to Honduran side Marathon in the CONCACAF League play-in game.
Marathon came close to scoring moments after kickoff, as a corner very nearly went straight into the net. Triston Henry was able to reach up and guide the ball to safety, however, and the game remained scoreless in the early stages.
Marathon would take the lead in the 18th minute, as Edwin Solano fired the ball in from the edge of the six-yard box.
